General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
Thanks for posting in HCM.
Postinor 2 is an emergency contraceptive pill. It needs to be taken within 72 hours of unprotected intercourse. Earlier it is taken, it would offer better protection against pregnancy.
What you have done is right thing. You should get your periods as breakthrough bleeding within 3 weeks from the day you have taken the last pill. Generally it happen by 7 days to 10 days.
In case you don't get your periods within 3 weeks, you need to take medical help immediately.
Hope the information provided would be helpful.
All the best.
